Michael J. Drabant is an associate attorney with A. Traub & Associates in Lombard, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland in 2005, with a major in Criminology and Criminal Justice. In 2009, he graduated from The John Marshall Law School, where he received his J.D. and LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation, with honors. He is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, and in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois.

Since joining A. Traub & Associates in 2010, Michael has focused his practice in the following areas: Probate, Estate Planning, Real Estate, Family Law, and General Civil Litigation. Michael also devotes a substantial amount of his practice to assisting homeowners facing Foreclosure, Mechanic’s Liens, and Short Sales.

During law school Michael served as a law clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Civil Practice Division. In conjunction with a law school course on predatory lending, Michael also interned at The Resurrection Project, an organization which assisted Chicago homeowners who had been victimized by predatory home loans. During his second and third years of law school, he worked for an estate planning law firm in Chicago, Illinois.

Prior to joining A. Traub & Associates, Michael worked as an associate attorney for The Fish Law Firm, in Naperville, Illinois, practicing in all areas of Civil Litigation. In May of 2010, he was published in the Naperville Sun, with his article entitled, Having a Will can Save Arguments for Generations.
