A. Traub & Associates Adds Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker to Staff

A. Traub & Associates is proud to announce the hiring of Breanna T., MSW, LCSW, as its staff Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She will focus on the firm’s need for social work services for its individual clients and support the firm’s broad base of representing the interests of children.

Breanna can help clients with a variety of legal issues that may need a social worker, including referrals to resources, finding support groups and services, mediation, orders of protection, child and parent interviews, counseling and support, supervised parenting time, neutral child exchanges, transitional child exchanges, home visits, and guardianships.

Breanna obtained her license to practice clinical social work in August 2018. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2015 and a master of social work degree with a focus on children and families from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016.

Breanna was hired as a clinical social worker at a Chicago psychiatric hospital immediately following her graduation. Breanna worked one-on-one as a social worker for adult, adolescent, and pediatric patients, conducting assessments of patients, identifying diagnosis and treatment plans, identifying outside resources and services for patients upon discharge and conducting family therapy sessions. After one year, the hospital promoted her to a supervisor position of its acute adult unit, supporting a team of social workers.

Breanna completed an internship that required her to work with adolescents on court orders and assist in their cases. She attended court hearings, took part in school meetings, and completed home visits.

Breanna is a resource for both clients and the attorneys at A. Traub & Associates. She possesses knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, treatment planning, and mental health services and diagnoses. With her experience, she can oversee child exchanges between parents, write reports on parent and child behavior, and record facts and advise in domestic violence or order of protection circumstances.
