Gel Traub

Business Operations Manager

As Business Operations Manager at A. Traub & Associates since 2018, Gel Traub plays a key role in keeping the firm running smoothly and efficiently. After years of managing the firm’s bookkeeping, she stepped into a leadership role and earned her MBA from Aurora University in 2021. Gel is passionate about streamlining operations and implementing innovative processes that elevate both the client experience and the firm’s internal culture. She is known for her hands-on leadership style and commitment to fostering a positive, motivated work environment.

Outside the office, Gel enjoys exploring new places and spending quality time with her husband, their family, and their two beloved rescue dogs.

Heather Anderson, MSW, LSW

Licensed Social Worker

Heather Anderson is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through a wide range of social service needs. She joined A. Traub & Associates in 2022, where she plays an integral role in helping clients navigate emotionally complex legal matters with empathy, support, and a focus on overall well-being.

Heather began her journey in social work in 2011 as a hospital advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Aurora, Illinois area. This early experience shaped her deep commitment to trauma-informed care and advocacy. She later earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from Loyola University Chicago, graduating with her MSW in 2017. She also holds a Professional Educator License and has specialized training in school social work and special education processes.

At A. Traub & Associates, Heather provides compassionate, client-centered support to individuals and families going through divorce, custody, guardianship, and other legal transitions. She collaborates with attorneys, families, and professionals to identify resources and solutions that meet each client’s unique needs. Her calm presence, insight into family dynamics, and dedication to helping others make her an invaluable member of the team.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time in nature, connecting with friends and family, and caring for her 13-year-old lab, Percie—who is always happy to accept treats from office visitors on Fridays.

Alexis Gonzalez

Paralegal Manager

Alexis Gonzalez is the Paralegal Manager at A. Traub & Associates and has been a valued member of the team since 2015. She holds an Associate in Applied Science degree and a Certificate in Legal Studies, bringing both education and experience to her leadership role.

As Paralegal Manager, Alexis is responsible for training new paralegals, overseeing case management, monitoring workloads, and serving as a go-to resource for support and problem-solving. She is dedicated to developing efficient systems and solutions that allow attorneys and staff to better serve clients. Her primary focus areas include family law, adoption, guardianship, and estate administration.

Outside of the office, Alexis enjoys traveling, watching movies, and spending quality time with her husband, their son, and their dog, Thor.

Julaine DeMonte

Paralegal

Julaine DeMonte is a highly experienced Paralegal at A. Traub & Associates and has been a dedicated member of the firm since 2005. With over 37 years of experience in family law, Julaine brings a depth of knowledge and compassion that benefits both clients and colleagues alike. Her background also includes service as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in DuPage County, reflecting her longstanding commitment to children and families in the legal system.

At the firm, Julaine handles a wide range of legal tasks, including drafting motions and pleadings, preparing estate planning documents, and assisting clients with complex financial affidavits. She is known for her thoroughness, reliability, and calm professionalism—qualities that have made her an invaluable part of the team for nearly two decades.

Outside of work, Julaine is a proud mother of two accomplished daughters: one a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), and the other a Fire Department Ambulance Commander for the City of Chicago, who also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Cathy Killebrew, ACP®, ILAP

Senior Paralegal

Cathy Killebrew is a Senior Paralegal at A. Traub & Associates and has been a valued member of the firm since 2014. She began her legal career in 1989 and brings more than three decades of diverse legal experience to her role. Cathy holds an Advanced Paralegal Certification (ACP®) from NALA – The Paralegal Association and is credentialed by the Illinois Paralegal Association, reflecting her strong commitment to professional excellence.

Over the years, Cathy has worked across many areas of law, with her current focus on family law. Her responsibilities include drafting motions, pleadings, and correspondence; scheduling court and office matters; conducting legal research; electronically filing documents; and guiding clients through document preparation with compassion and precision.

Outside the office, Cathy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, riding her motorcycle, and caring for animals.

David Bogacz

Paralegal

David Bogacz joined A. Traub & Associates as a Paralegal in June 2022. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University, majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Legal Studies, and also holds a Paralegal Certificate. A first-generation college graduate, David brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting clients through the legal process. He is also fluent in Polish.

At the firm, David handles a variety of responsibilities, including drafting pleadings, notices, and correspondence; managing office and court scheduling; preparing case files for court; and filing documents electronically.

Outside of work, David enjoys cooking & spending quality time with his family & friends.

Erika Keirse

Paralegal

Erika Keirse joined A. Traub & Associates in May 2024 as a Paralegal in the Estate Planning Practice Group. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from Lewis University, after beginning her undergraduate studies at Indiana University. While working as a Legal Secretary, Erika pursued and completed her Paralegal Certificate at Loyola University Chicago, which sparked her transition into a full-time paralegal career.

Erika brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a client-centered approach to her work in estate planning. She is passionate about helping clients navigate sensitive legal matters with clarity and care.

Outside the office, Erika enjoys playing pickleball and diving into true crime podcasts.

Ashley Stannard

Paralegal

Ashley Stannard is a Paralegal at A. Traub & Associates, where she supports the firm’s family law practice with professionalism, care, and attention to detail. She joined the firm in September 2023 and officially stepped into her paralegal role after earning her Associate in Applied Science in Legal Studies and her Paralegal Certificate from the College of DuPage in 2025.

Ashley’s responsibilities include client communication, drafting legal documents, court and office scheduling, electronic filing, and managing attorney calendars. Her thoughtful approach and strong organizational skills make her a valued member of the legal team.

Outside of work, Ashley serves as a vocal director at her local church and performs as a background vocalist for gospel recording artists. She also enjoys cooking for family and friends and exploring the vibrant food scene across Chicagoland.

Luz Aguilar

Billing Coordinator

Luz Aguilar has been a valued member of A. Traub & Associates since 2016. She began her journey with the firm as a receptionist and, through her dedication and drive, worked her way up to her current role as Billing Coordinator. Luz is known for her strong work ethic, adaptability, and commitment to supporting both clients and staff.

In addition to managing billing operations, Luz often serves as the firm’s in-house Spanish translator, helping ensure clear and compassionate communication with Spanish-speaking clients. Her bilingual skills and client-focused mindset make her an integral part of the team.

Outside the office, Luz enjoys spending quality time with her son and extended family.

Carol Landreth

Receptionist

Carol Landreth joined A. Traub & Associates in November 2021, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in the retail industry and a natural talent for customer service. As the firm’s receptionist, Carol is often the first point of contact for clients and visitors—and she takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment from the moment they walk through the door.

Known for her friendly demeanor and positive attitude, Carol excels at making every interaction a pleasant one and helping each day run a little more smoothly for both clients and staff. Outside of work, Carol enjoys watching college football and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Faye Koch

Receptionist

Faye Koch joined A. Traub & Associates in July 2024 and serves as a Receptionist across both the Lombard and Arlington Heights offices. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Classical Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2021. After nearly two years working in a fast-paced bakeshop, Faye was ready to pursue a new path—one that allowed her to bring her friendly demeanor and attention to detail into a professional office environment.

Faye is known for her approachable presence, positive attitude, and ability to make clients feel welcome from the moment they arrive.

Outside of work, she enjoys attending live music events, visiting museums, and spending time with her loved ones—including her cat, Minmo.

Kirsten Coor

Intake Coordinator

Kirsten Coor joined A. Traub & Associates in October 2022 as an Office Administrator and was quickly recognized for her professionalism, client-focused mindset, and strong organizational skills. In recognition of her contributions, she was promoted to Intake Coordinator, where she now plays a vital role on the firm’s intake team.

Kirsten is often the first point of contact for potential clients, guiding them through the intake process with empathy, attentiveness, and a deep understanding of their needs. With more than 10 years of experience in retail management and a background in customer service, she brings a calming and supportive presence to every conversation. Kirsten holds an Associate of Arts degree from Elgin Community College, which she earned in 2014.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her rescue dogs, Eddie & Buffy, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.

Betsy Soriano

Office Administrator

Betsy Soriano first joined A. Traub & Associates in 2019 as a part-time Receptionist while pursuing her Associate in Applied Science in Paralegal Studies at College of DuPage, which she completed in 2023. After gaining experience in various legal practice areas at other firms, Betsy returned to A. Traub & Associates in 2024, bringing with her a strong foundation in legal administration and valuable perspective from her time away.

Now serving as a full-time Office Administrator, Betsy draws on her in-depth knowledge of the firm and her legal training to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently. She is known for her adaptability, professionalism, and strong sense of teamwork.

Outside of work, Betsy enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Brand Director

Troy Traub serves as the Brand Director for A. Traub & Associates, bringing decades of experience in entrepreneurship, high-level sales, and client-focused marketing. With a career built on understanding people and solving problems with compassion and clarity, Troy offers a unique perspective that blends business strategy with a deep respect for the client experience.

In his role, Troy is responsible for elevating and positioning the firm as a leading legal resource in the counties it serves. He focuses on refining branding, streamlining client engagement, and creating meaningful connections between the firm and the community. His work ensures that every interaction with the firm reflects its core values: professionalism, approachability, and excellence.

Outside the office, Troy enjoys spending time with his spouse, their three adult children, and new granddaughter. He also stays active through golf, camping, and regular workouts at the health club, always making time for outdoor adventures and meaningful family moments.

Bella Rossi

Paralegal

Bella Rossi joined A. Traub & Associates as a full-time Paralegal in June 2025 after successfully completing an internship with the firm. She earned her Certificate in Legal Studies with High Honors from the College of DuPage, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Bella also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Iowa State University. Her return to the professional world after six years as a stay-at-home parent reflects her strong work ethic, resilience, and dedication to making a meaningful impact.

In her role, Bella assists with court and office scheduling, drafts legal documents and correspondence, conducts research, files documents electronically, and supports clients throughout the legal process with compassion and care.

Bella is a proud military spouse—her husband, Mike, serves as an Active-Duty Army Major—and the devoted mom of two daughters and one very spoiled cat. Outside of work, she enjoys time with family and embracing the balance between personal growth and professional excellence.
